1. Climatic conditions and the route

• The climatic conditions in the areas visited during the trek are variable and, in many cases, the terrain may be muddy.
• Accommodation provided is dormitory-style.
• The insurance policy included covers accidents only and does not cover altitude sickness.
• If a mule is required for assistance, the cost must be covered by the customer.

2. Refund policy

ACAIME Salento acts in accordance with Colombian legal framework (including tourism law) and reserves the right to consider force majeure or compelling reasons for non-participation in the reserved or contracted activity, and to evaluate requests for refunds.

• Once the service has started, no refunds will be issued.
• If the user cancels the reservation without just cause more than 24 hours in advance, a 50% fee of the total activity price will be charged.
• If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours prior to the activity, no refund will be provided.
• If the client fails to use the service for a justified cause (death, hospitalization or certified accident), 50% of the total activity cost will be refunded.

3. Information and recommendations

• For your safety, follow the recommendations made by the guide or environmental interpreter during the tour.
• The consumption of psychoactive substances before and during activities is prohibited.
• Consumption of alcohol is not recommended the day before the activity.
• If a participant withholds relevant medical or psychological information, ACAIME Salento is released from liability in case of an incident.
• ACAIME Salento may record video, take photographs or conduct interviews during activities, with prior authorization and in accordance with applicable personal data and image rights regulations (e.g., Law 23 of 1982 and Law 1581 of 2012).

4. General considerations

ACAIME Salento strives to manage as many variables as possible to conduct the planned activities; however:

• We cannot guarantee 100% completion of the chosen route due to external factors such as weather, access limitations or other force majeure circumstances.
• The locations we visit are often difficult to access and may lack urban amenities.
• Participants should be prepared with a positive attitude, flexibility and resilience to enjoy these adventure experiences.
