Useful information:
Located in the department of Tolima, La Carbonera and its surroundings were long a forgotten territory. Between 1995 and 2000, it was the scene of armed conflict. Today, it is home to the country’s best-preserved wax palm ecosystem, with native forests that have remained intact for more than 60 years. It also offers valuable interaction with rural culture.
