This trek is going to give you the chance to know about the diversity that we have in Colombia, especially in Salento, Quindío. We are going to be watching the flora and fauna that only Mother Nature can give us, natural features such as: the wax palms and Frailejones offer to us a great diversity of birds that live in the central mountain ranges of Los Andes.
Day 1: we start with a typical Salento breakfast at 6:20 in the morning; we are going to take the jeep, the traditional transportation that is going to take us in this great adventure to Cocora Valley. We are going to reach the valley where we are going to start to ascent through the mountains of our territory, we are going to walk 21 kilometers approximately and we are going to end the day in the farm in which we are going to have some rest.
Day 2: we start with a breakfast to recover some energy to initiate the descending to Salento; this is going to help us to pass around another route with different landscapes that will show us more about our local flora and fauna. While we enjoy our journey watching different birds and endemic plants typical from a big variety of ecosystems of the area.
